Airtel has launched a credit card in partnership with Axis bank.
The card will come with a fee of Rs.500+gst.
Key features of the card include:

25% cashback on Airtel Mobile/DTH recharges, Airtel Black and Airtel Xstream Fiber payments
10% cashback on Electricity/Gas/Water bill payments via Airtel Thanks app
10% cashback on spends with preferred merchants – BigBasket, Swiggy, Zomato
1% cashback on all other spends
Amazon e-Voucher Rs 500 on card activation within 30 days of issuance
Cashback for transactions done through Airtel Thanks App has been capped at Rs.300 per month for each category (airtel bill payments and non airtel bill payments).
Cashback for preferred merchants has been capped at Rs.500 per month.
Cashback for all other spends is uncapped.

Cashback Terms & Conditions – Airtel Axis Bank Credit Card
Definitions: For the Airtel Axis Bank Credit Card, the following terms shall, unless the context otherwise admits, shall have the following meanings:
- Cashback shall mean money awarded in the customer’s credit card account under the cashback scheme.
- Preferred Merchants shall include certain merchants on which the cashback earnings shall be 10%. These merchants can change at the bank’s discretion.
- The cashbacks will be processed according to the following table:

| Airtel Mobile, Broadband, WiFi and DTH bill payments via Airtel Thanks App* | 25% |
| Utility bill payments such as gas, electricity, etc., via Airtel Thanks App* | 10% |
| Preferred merchants* | 10% |
| All other merchants/ other spends | 1% |
Capped at Rs.300 per month
** Cashback shall be eligible on spends made on Preferred merchants – Swiggy, Zomato, & bigbasket. The total cashback is capped at Rs.500 per month across all merchants. Preferred merchants and their respective offers are subject to change from time to time without any prior notice.
- Cashback shall not be eligible for following spends/transactions on the card,
- Fuel Spends
- EMI transactions
- Purchases converted to EMI post facto
- Wallet loading transactions o Purchase of Jewelry items
- Cash advances
- Payment of outstanding balances
- Payment of card fees and other card charges
- Rental Payments
For eg. If the customer spends Rs. 30,000 in a billing cycle with the following break up of spends of Recharge through Airtel Thanks App: 2500 & Utility Bill payment through Airtel Thanks App: Rs. 2,500 | Swiggy, Zomato & Bigbasket: Rs. 5,000 | Other spends: Rs. 20,000. Out of these “Other spends”, Rs. 10,000 was an EMI purchase. Thus, the total spends eligible for cashback would only be Rs. 2,500 + Rs. 2,500 + Rs. 20,000 – Rs. 10,000 (EMI transaction) = Rs. 20,000

I see difference in merchant names both have big basket mentioned on it though while I pay for order upfront on Big basket or pay later by first selecting COD but pay via my card only after sometime. Will it cause issues in getting cashback for big basket transactions?

Try changing the billing cycle of this card? Now axis is allowing i came to know as per rbi norms what date is best considering cibil report date is 30/31.of axis

Today i received statement in email, it says cashback credited for last month = 0
was expecting 666 INR
150 CB missing for me.
Only showing 950 instead of 1100.
I think they missed gas bill because merchant name was airtel not abputil.

Axis always mess with cashback. Every month needs to mail their cc for correction. Its a headache now.
As i know axis ace credit card gives 5% cashback in recharges ang bill pay through google pay in android.

Received my First CC Statement for the Airtel Axis CC. I should have got Rs. 422 as Cashback but they have calculated it to be just Rs. 324. They didnt include the Rs. 1000 transaction I made in the Swiggy Money Wallet as the merchant is mentioned as Raz Bundl instead of Swiggy 😏😤
For customers who order frequently in Swiggy it would have been better if they had given cashback for Swiggy Money Wallet too. Now have to enter CVV and OTP each time i order from Swiggy.

E.g. for utility payments merchant should be ABPUTIL
