Airtel has launched a credit card in partnership with Axis bank.
The card will come with a fee of Rs.500+gst.
Key features of the card include:

25% cashback on Airtel Mobile/DTH recharges, Airtel Black and Airtel Xstream Fiber payments
10% cashback on Electricity/Gas/Water bill payments via Airtel Thanks app
10% cashback on spends with preferred merchants – BigBasket, Swiggy, Zomato
1% cashback on all other spends
Amazon e-Voucher Rs 500 on card activation within 30 days of issuance
Cashback for transactions done through Airtel Thanks App has been capped at Rs.300 per month for each category (airtel bill payments and non airtel bill payments).
Cashback for preferred merchants has been capped at Rs.500 per month.
Cashback for all other spends is uncapped.

Cashback Terms & Conditions – Airtel Axis Bank Credit Card
Definitions: For the Airtel Axis Bank Credit Card, the following terms shall, unless the context otherwise admits, shall have the following meanings:
- Cashback shall mean money awarded in the customer’s credit card account under the cashback scheme.
- Preferred Merchants shall include certain merchants on which the cashback earnings shall be 10%. These merchants can change at the bank’s discretion.
- The cashbacks will be processed according to the following table:
| Spends on | Cashback |
| Airtel Mobile, Broadband, WiFi and DTH bill payments via Airtel Thanks App* | 25% |
| Utility bill payments such as gas, electricity, etc., via Airtel Thanks App* | 10% |
| Preferred merchants* | 10% |
| All other merchants/ other spends | 1% |
Capped at Rs.300 per month
** Cashback shall be eligible on spends made on Preferred merchants – Swiggy, Zomato, & bigbasket. The total cashback is capped at Rs.500 per month across all merchants. Preferred merchants and their respective offers are subject to change from time to time without any prior notice.
- Cashback shall not be eligible for following spends/transactions on the card,
- Fuel Spends
- EMI transactions
- Purchases converted to EMI post facto
- Wallet loading transactions o Purchase of Jewelry items
- Cash advances
- Payment of outstanding balances
- Payment of card fees and other card charges
- Rental Payments
For eg. If the customer spends Rs. 30,000 in a billing cycle with the following break up of spends of Recharge through Airtel Thanks App: 2500 & Utility Bill payment through Airtel Thanks App: Rs. 2,500 | Swiggy, Zomato & Bigbasket: Rs. 5,000 | Other spends: Rs. 20,000. Out of these “Other spends”, Rs. 10,000 was an EMI purchase. Thus, the total spends eligible for cashback would only be Rs. 2,500 + Rs. 2,500 + Rs. 20,000 – Rs. 10,000 (EMI transaction) = Rs. 20,000

@gambitrite Do keep in mind you may have to fake spends in order to reach annual fee waiver as attaining those with normal spends will be a hard and useless grind

Have not tried loading cash in Big Basket Wallet but in the terms and conditions it was mentioned that no cashback shall be issued for loading money in Wallets and it was also confirmed by the Phone Banking Officer too. Also I myself didn't get cashback for loading money in Swiggy Money Wallet.

After multiple failures on booking Indane cylinder via ABPUTIL merchant on Airtel I tried with the latest merchant which only displays Airtel and to my surprise booking was successfull in one go. But I am skeptical that this transaction will fetch me 10% cashback. Any clues anybody??

Idiots, I paid electricity bill on 26th and it showed successful and money got debited. And did not bother to check. Shockingly, this months electricity bill has got last bill amount as well and when checked the Axis Bank app, bill amount paid on 26th was refunded on 28th. We need to check app also, after couple of days to check the transaction status.
