Hello DImers, this community is one of the best source of CC information and application process. There are a lot of credit card threads on DD with information scattered about the application process. Other threads about good credit card and card to card basis are organized in the two threads below. My intention with this thread is to have a comprehensive guide and information for everyone who is applying for a new CC. CREDIT CARDS - you have and you want : https://www.desidime.com/discussions/credit-car... Credit Cards On "Card To Card" Basis : https://www.desidime.com/discussions/credit-car... CitiBank - checks Experian score and no. of cards, only KYC documents required. Physical address verification and kyc document collection. You can also apply through paisabazaar and their executive will collect your document. Time taken for card delivery = 10 days. High number of CC = rejection. Better to keep Citi as your first or second card. IndusInd - applying though bank bazaar if you have credit score, no documents required and no physical verification. Online KYC done. Just a phone call verification. Easy to get cc. Time taken thorough bank Bazaar = 14 days. SBI - Better to apply online through paisabazaar or though agent, for c2c need last month statement and card front copy. Physical address verification done and only 2/3 phone verification. HSBC - Prefers salaried individual. Need last 3 months statements of the salary account and salary slip. Physical KYC and Job verification. C2c temporarily paused for now. HDFC - *Provides CC without bank account but for many dimers including me, they asked for a bank account with them or they will not process your credit card application. My Application was approved in principle after credit inquiries but no progress. It will keep showing in process but there will be no progress for months if you don't have bank account with them. Pre-approved offer is the best way to go with them. You can also open a classic banking account with 1 lac initial funding and apply for cc and get regalia first. Axis likes to give CC to their old customers and does not like giving c2c basis if you dont have an account with them. For old account holders, no income docs required. Axis, SBI, BoB and ICICI offer CC against FD. For Axis, they are giving myzone easy CC. Need to go to branch and create FD, fill application and takes 1 week for CC to reach you. They stopped giving CC instantly like they used to. 80% cc limit against FD. Lein removed after 4-8 months. ICICI 90% limit against FD. Can open account online and opt for CC. Need to close CC to cashin FD. Also noticed that Citi and Indus provide cc limit of 0.625 times your monthly declared income. For example, if you declare 40k, they will give 25k; if you declare 80k, they will give 50k limit. Dimers, please contribute your valuable information on other various CCs so that we have a very comprehensive CC application thread. 3rd party websites that make it easy for approval include paisabazaar and bankbazaar. Physical kyc and address verification depends on the banks you apply for. Citi, SBI have compulsory physical kyc address verification. IndusInd has no physical verification. HSBC has address + job verification.

Anybody having experience with axis bank whether they remove lien from secured cc after some months if customer is having only fixed deposit account and not savings account with them.

And does they provide secured cc against express fd which can be opened online?

Removing lien should have nothing to do with having savings acc or not. I think it depends on branch & if a branch allowed you to open a fd without savings acc to take card against FD then they should not insist on opening savings acc later too just for removing lien.

I want to apply for AMEX cards on card-on-card basis.

Already have HDFC Regalia First with 3+ lakh limit. Self-employed. No income proof. Living in tier1 city.

Any referral or agency number? Don’t want to go through policybazaar shit.

Also, which AMEX card is good with minimum fees?

no brother! HDFC won’t report credit limit to CIBIL. I have escalated this to HDFC and got written communication also! They just report highest usage limit only. This is actually minus.

I have Moneyback with 6.08L limit but they report 93K only to CIBIL, which is my highest till now.

In the process of applying for Yes Bank credit card. Do they carry CIBIl score and KYC verification first or phone verification? I mean I understand my CIBIL is checked (below 700) and also received a call from their agent asking me about my office location. Then within half an hour, received a call from Yes Bank credit card verification dept. to confirm my name and other details submitted.

My point of query is since my CIBIL already checked, they should not have called me for phone verification and rejected in the first place. Since they have called me for phone verification, should I anticipate that chances are high of approval and low CIBIL no more a barrier?

I am more interested in why do you even want new credit cards with a cibil score below 700. sunglasses

Yes, HDFC offered me a Regalia credit card even without their savings account and even when my CIBIL history not created.

Received a call regarding my office location, and it appears that the office location played a role.

Anyone applied for Sbi Simplyclick cc based on Existing FD based cc of any other bank having limit above 30k and that cc has been used for more than 6 months.

I have read in various posts that Sbi Simplyclick cc can be applied based on Card to Card process with above mentioned criteria and good cibil score (750+). I want to know that how to apply for Sbi Simplyclick cc based on Card to Card process? Whether through offline mode (Branch or Agent) or online mode?

And in this Card to Card to process whether details like occupation (salaried or self employed, work address) and income details, etc have to be provided?

What happens to add-on cards when we upgrade the primary card to next variant ? Do they also automatically get upgraded and a new physical variant is dispatched for each ? Kindly mention if that differs on each bank too.
