Small recoveries will always be there but direction is negative. FIIs are net seller and as I told the newbies floated the market and FIIs were waiting to trap them. Even DIIs helped newbies with their dreams before shattering them. These days I heard the 2 din ke expert investors around me who earned lakhs losing more than that daily.
Guys. Keep calm. If your stoplosses are hit then it is okay. It is part of the game. Those, who are holding things since 2020, are still in profit. Many opportunities will come. Please avail them. Noob question from a newbie:
I keep reading about “compound interest” and “compounding effect” in long term investment in share market; But I simply don’t get it. Let’s say, I bought 100 shares of XYZ Nifty ETF at 1000. Now over the years it kept increasing in price, and now let’s say after 10 years it’s at 2000; now if I sell the shares, my profit will be 1000 per shares. It’s simple math, total count * (selling price – buying price); so my question is where did compound interest came into play ?

I think compounding works only in case of Mutual funds? 
XYZ Stock (Just an example)
Stock price in 2017 – 100
Stock price in 2018 – 150
Stock price in 2019 – 200
Stock price in 2020 – 300
So if you bought the XYZ stock in 2017 @ 100 you are getting 200% in 2020. Similarly if you bought the same XYZ stock in 2018 @ 150 you are getting 100% returns in 2020 & so on. So in 1st case you are getting 200% returns in 3 years. While in 2nd case you are getting 100% returns in 2 years.

Check this guys. Bhai, problem is there are no standards in teaching of stock market basics. 🙂 In school, we learnt about numbers n geometry first then we progressed to calculus n tensor analysis. But if people start teaching calculus n start mapping concepts of geometry from those things then things get Messier. Then there ll be people who ll find loopholes in things n start scamming. 😞😞😞 What to do? Whom to follow? What to learn?
