i clearly told them I would like to have only an LTF card in my wallet.
Bhai SimplyClick ka bola to bhi nhi kiya...2.4L spent kar diya in 10 months....but jab bola to bola ki abhi toda wait karlo aapko LTF offer aa jayega....kafi customer ko mila offer...
Trick works for atleast a year old card. AFAIK.
Strange bhaiya ka 8 lakh spend tha fir bhi nahi kiya ltf even 2 year old sbi simply click tha mujhe laga wo ltf hoga that’s why mana kiya but pata chala wo bhi ltf nahi kiya hai closure request diye then retention team said that ltf offer is not available for you.
They are getting too many closure requests, may be they are approving selected users now. Just like people took, ICICI coral variants by twitter route and now they have almost blocked that route.
For sbi cashback card my spend easily goes above 2 lakh.
Others I have are all LTF.
My SBI Cashback CC will cross 1 year mark on 19-Oct, so, no point in even chasing them and I had already crossed 2L spends in first year, so, I've one more year to attempt with them for getting the card LTF
Recently I went for closure for Ola Money SBI CC and they converted it to LTF and I told them to close this CC and infact make Cashback CC LTF to which their reply was to wait until 1 year is completed for that card and it can be done easily if offer is shown in the system. So, if there's no offer for the user, I think taking the higher authority route will help, else they'll clearly reject saying no such offer currently for the user.
My friend has SimplyClick since 1 year and his credit limit is 17k only. He earns 80k and requested them for limit increase and LTF. Otherwise he said "I will close"

You directly wrote to customer service head of SBI Cards?
They didn't even give me FYF just for holding SimplyCLICK. After FYF offer ended, I refused to apply since I didn't want to be only one to pay for it.
By heavy spender, how much do you spend?

Recently I too tried to close my sbi simply click card and the executive said no need to close we can convert to LTF , so I said yes and they created one SR , but not sure what was the SR for..so sent one mail now for official confirmation..thanks all 
Btw is it possible to convert sbi cashback card to LTF? Also how to know how much I have spent already for waiver?
I feel all credit cards with spent based waiver criteria should show how much spent and how much more to spend for waiver of renewal fees

We regret to inform you that as on date due to internal policy we are unable to process your request for converting the cashback card into Lifetime Free sbi card.
Sbi waived of my annual fee on simply click after requesting from cc. Although gst not reversed, spent around 87 k for the year

How old is your card?
I have done the same. But there is no need to directly goto the last escalation level. The escalation levels are as follows:
Start from the first level. Use AI to create an email and send it. If rejected then goto next level.
Have 2 SBI simply click cards. Recently converted to LTF.
Have one Ola money SBI card.
Anyway to flip the Ola card to Cashback? Or flip any of the Simply click to Cashback ?
I mailed Principal nodal officer foer flipping Ola to Cashback and he denied.
PS : Applied through Sprint and getting rejected
