This is to inform you that Reward Points accrued on transactions eligible for Instant Discount and Cashback offers will be forfeited as per T&Cs of the Offer Program. Reward points will be forfeited for all transactions done during offer period and considered for Offer computation.
In case a cardholder does not have adequate Reward Points balance at the time of forfeiture, an amount equal to the deficit in the Reward Points will be debited from his / her credit card account.

As per RBI guidelines, 'Master Directions – Credit Card and Debit Card – Issuance and Conduct Directions, 2022', page 18 clearly states that,
24. Terms and conditions for issue of cards to customers
(f)The terms may be altered by the card-issuer, but 30 days’ notice of the change shall be given to the cardholder to enable him/her to withdraw if he/she so chooses. After the notice period of 30 days, the cardholder would be deemed to have accepted the terms if he/she had not withdrawn during the specified period. The change in terms shall be notified to the cardholder through all the communication channels available.

The problem here is SBI got this mentioned under amazon sep-offer terms itself. October 7 should still stand as commencement date though for all other site/sale transactions (Where SBI failed to mention the same)

Yes it is applicable to all sbi cc. Seems like you haven't used the card much during sbi card sale days on amazon & anyway prime gives 2 points per Rs.100 spent on ecomm online txns so effectively 0.5% will be forfeited if such points were even given in the fist place.

Help me understand-
- Was this a lapse on my end to extract rewards from SBI CARDS ?
- If this was SBI/gateway fault (that too in rewards), why should the cost of same be transferred to customers and ruin customer experience?
- Share the complete calculation of rewards earned, redeemed and forfeited till date.
-Confirm if milestone benefits have duly been remitted (cleartrip gv etc) or not , share calculation till date since inception.
- Rights and responsibilities of card issuing authority to perform due diligence while managing the finances agains a credit card , since it seems SBI defaulted and i am assuming that you transferred points to me erroneously, has this fault been reported to RBI as per underlying codes of conduct and ethical business practices !

My card has surprisingly been debited for certain small amounts which sums up to a total of Rs. 3221/- under some clause RP FORFEIT FOR CBK OFFER and monthly statement cashback also has not been credited.
Details:
₹478 - 29 Dec
₹2743 - 31 Dec
₹820 - Statement cashback
1. I want to know for which specific transactions in September & October 2022, the amount has been deducted?
2. Also, will there be further deduction from my credit card account & how much?
3. Why is these cashbacks now being forfeited? These deductions affects my purchase decisions & I would not have bought those products if I had known that the cashbacks might be forfeited in future.
4. I don’t remember seeing any terms or conditions at that time that the cashbacks will be forfeited. So please also provide proof for that as well.
I have attached the monthly statement of my SBI credit card.

Even this youtuber completely ignored this part "As per offer tnc" in the notification/email communication. Without acknowledging the fact that SBI got this mentioned in the said offer terms / ask right questions (Something like 30 day notification - If it applies to sale-specific offers too), its going to be long, tough road

Hi guys
I checked my SBI CB card current statement today after going through this thread & found 3791 has been deducted on 31 dec itself. I didn't receive any notification/email/sms for this and it was a silent one. I have raised the complaint today on customer care call (how is it calculated and for reversal etc).
I cannot reconcile how this is deducted. I did use my card in Amazon Sep sale on day 1 and I clearly remember, SBI CB card was not excluded from those discounts (10%) on day 1 (which is available to prime users). I had read the T&C on Amazon website multiple times to be sure.
The SBI CB card was then excluded from day 2 onwards on Amazon T&C page (I remember this too) & I got this double confirmed via friends' SBI CB card not accruing any discounts when going at the end of txn page on Amazon & using his card.
How can they retrospectively apply things before any intimation to customers.
What else to do now to speed things up?

@getready I made a big purchase on sep 22. starting from a few days before 22 till sep 22, I am damn sure of T&C not showing SBI CB card being excluded as I knew this card being a new launch in market, may be missed by Amazon to be mentioned outright (which happened as well but they realised it on sep 23). I won't be able to confirm whether this was not being shown from Sep 9 (but logically should have been unwritten only as why would amazon mention the card in T&C and remove it a few days before 22 sep & re add.

OMG.. they took out 500+90 rs and 659 rewards for my flipkart transactions in the offer period.. cheap move by SBI ..
And those were my relatives transactions.. already gave them as discount..
Hope they didn't do it with cashback card.. otherwise it will change all my calculations for discount
Request all concerned to raise complain through their app, portal or email and escalate to the topmost officer. Why should a customer suffer for their mistake. All they provide is RPs/vouchers for most cards and now debit cash in return, which is totally unacceptable.
