Please provide valuable suggestions regarding which type of printer can be selected for occasional use for Black & White 30 to 50 pages print monthly.

Whether should go for ink tank, ink jet, laser? All in one printer or single function? Kindly consider following points also:

# Cost of print per page
# Cost of Replacement supplies and Refilling.
# Other maintenance cost if any.

Searched previous posts regarding it but not found any post having proper info. General opinion from google search is to go with ink tank which is costing 10 to 20 paisa per print and it can refilled easily with ink bottle.

Brand and Model suggestions are also preferred.

Your choice is between Ink Tank and Laser. If you are going to take prints at least once ever week, you should go for an all in on Ink Tank. It will give you the facility of color prints and scans, whenever necessary. You can go for the Wi-fi ones, they are very convenient for printing/scanning directly from mobile phones. You can go for the Laser printers, if you will be taking prints with long intervals, and need faster prints, and are sure you wont need color or scans. Print costs should be similar for both.

In my area, black and white print is Rs 2 per page. For just 50 pages, I wouldn't buy a printer

Don’t make him a scapegoat.
He said OCCASIONAL uses.
You’re suggesting him to buy a laser printer ? Seriously?

@GrabDeal Yes. Because the toner in Laser printer does not dry up and can be used without any problem for even upto 3 years. The inkjet ink dry up or leak out even without use and he will end up either paying for inks he never used or left without ink when he really needs it. The ink may even damage the printer. His total cost of operation will be much higher in case of inkjet printers. Occasional users should not even think of inkjet printers.

Could have given you my trash but last week just sold my Rs. 1500 high dpi Epson stylus tx110 all-in-one (print, scan, colour b&w photocopy without pc) for Rs. 70 in scrap. But removed scanner part and 2 nice motors and the motherboard and transformer/power supply. I had modified it with piped tank cartridges, and earlier had syringe refillable cartridge. Non-genuine ink bottles 70ml x 4 colours lying useless.

Wanted to buy anything but epson. Considered lasers, hp inkjets, brother, others . BUT ended up with another Epson trash, L130 tank printer for Rs. 6500 after research, 2 years ago. Because during power cuts my generator cannot take 1000 watt load of lasers and hp inkjets with heater technology. Epson uses pico/piezo nozzles that run at low power but get jammed all the time and cleaning flushs a lot of ink (every colour). Also power cut occurs 5-10 times daily, so it would waste page and ink if power cuts in between and laser/hp/brother printer is not smart to resume from half page.  Only ink tank is economical per page and no need to buy genuine. Rest everything is very bad. Starts showing lines bands gaps trash and randomly any colour gets blocked which needs flush cleaning wasting lot of ink and needs 1 day rest. New epson still uses very old low quality buttons I had in tx110. Google said print something every few days to avoid colour jam/block but it still gets jammed or striped banded. Cannot help but get Epson pico inkjet due to low watts

Hi, I have to buy a new laser printer. Please suggest how to convert usb printer into wifi printer (without connecting printer to router via usb cable)? Actually my jio fiber router and new printer will be in different rooms, so both cannot be connected via cable. All methods on youtube talk about connecting both via usb cable.

Please confirm if above is possible? Based on that I will decide whether to buy a wifi printer or I can buy usb printer.

Does these WiFi USB Mini Adapter helps? https://amzn.eu/d/6...EO

Or a usb to bluetooth adapter?

Or by using a wifi repeater (i.e. additional wifi router with usb port and placing this additional router near to printer)?

Need a full proof solution so that if I am not at home, then family dont have to do any troubleshooting.

Is connecting mobile via OTG cable to take print will work in all usb printers or I need to check this feature before buying (as otg cable will be last fallback option in case abive wifi setup trick has any issue and I am not at home)

Update : After printing lots of notes finally cartridge of Brother 2321D is out of ink. As per notification on printer.

Quickly checked youtube videos, then changed the gear position on cartridge to reset. Got more than 50/60 prints.

After that checked local market for refill powder but all shopkeepers selling 80gm pack for around 160/180 rupees.

As i needed 100gm pack. Checked online for it but price is almost double than offline.

So instead of refill powder Finally bought replacement cartridge for 364/- Working absolutely great.
