Airtel Xstream Fiber vs Jio Fiber: Who are you rooting for?

I don’t think Prime Video comes bundled with the Airtel 999 plan in Delhi. This is what is written on their website -

Can anybody tell me how to utilize unlimited data quota (3300gb) in Jiofiber?

I have jiofiber and my annual plan was automatically upgraded to include unlimited data. When I finish my plan’s 200gb per month, does unlimited data start after that?
If yes, at what speeds, same as my plan?

I already have xstream fibre,will I still get ott subscription.Also can I downgrade my plan?

Please note that the price mentioned by airtel is inclusive of GST.
But jio plans are exclusive of GST so we have to pay around 25% for the price they have quoted

Rooting for Jio always. Jio is always the one that brings affordable plans for people first, rest like Airtel etc just follow it and try to match up to avoid loosing customers.
Until Jio launched 4G we were paying Rs300 for just 1Gb data. Just imagine how costly it would have been during lockdown and work from home, and studies of children online by Zoom, if jio was not there. Also the boom in youtube etc content creation and consumption is because Jio made internet affordable and accessible to all of India.
Even now Airtel launched cheaper broadband plans only after Jio. Except metro’s rest of India only has BSNL, Airtel(looting until Jio) and some local cable Internet providers(pathetic service and looting).
So Jio is a boon. I only want Airtel, Idea and others to survive because only Jio monopoly is a little scary thought.

Airtel installation charges for 499 and jio 399 plan? No need of stb . Any disadvantage of not taking stb?

Jio everytime. Screw Airtel. They fleeced customers before Jio Mobile and they fleeced customers before Jio Fiber. If Jio can do in 399+GST then Airtel also can.
If Airtel had it’s way, they’ll charge 100 per GB. Extortionists.

I would just like to tell that ‘Truly Unlimited’ have FUPs still after 3300GB or 3.3TB of data consumption. I was having Airtel broadband 40Mbps in 2012 but their data limit was too lo but very reliable and good customer service. Then switched to You Broadband 60Mbps unlimited for a short time which was pathetic with speeds and reliability. Subsequently moved to ACT Fibernet which I’m using for the past 5 plus years. The connection is stable and reliable with pretty good customer care and high data limit capping compared to other providers. I have noted that data byte consumption count in Jio flies (like a tweaked auto meter lol) so fast to reach the limit as l had taken the free pilot plan initially. Just have cancel Jio and get the deposit back. For now 3300GB is still pretty high capping but still may not be ok for some. Just sharing some info which l had come across earlier.

2. if i don’t pay monthly rent i cant use box ( like normal smart box for viewing youtube or etc), is it get “LOCKED”
3.if i am having acc in other apps like zee,sony ,etc can i install and view content from them
4.can i install 3rd party apps not through playstore

airtel “40 MBPS UPTO” means depending on your area you may get between 0mbps to 40mbps,we cant say how much speed we are gonna receive, where as jio we get standard 30mbps speed through out the month

Already have Airtel Xstream connection 6 month advance rental. Very Happy with speeds get around 120 Mbps on 100 Mbps plan and no downtime till date. Wil stick to Airtel only.

I am using Airtel Service since 8 years its very good and but we got jio fibre recently no such marketing I have seen

I will always root for anything with jio so that they bring price down and then select the best provider like airtel

What is this? Is the a WiFi service?
Can we use this only in home where wifi is set up or can we use it anywhere we roam?

Can the OTT subscriptions be used on some other TV without the Jio/Airtel set top box along with the main STB to which it is subscribed for?

I am using excitel fibre. 300Mbps unlimited for 556 per month effectively on long term recharge(6+3 offer). Speed is stable and so is there service in my area.

@FighterMan – the comparision data is not correct and seems biased towards airtel.
jio does not need to give OTT as everything is available in Jio TV and Jio Cinema and various other JIO channells.

I have both airtel xstream tv, and Jio TV and can state that Jio TV has much more channells and content and that too premium than airtel tv.
service of airtel is better though.

Ping delay to eurpoe and usa game servers are same for Jio Fiber and Airtel 4G. Jio’s Fiber has no latency benefit

Yes Airtel is way ahead then jio, Jio is Good only for Making Airtel cheap.

Jio is cheaper but Airtel is better in quality.

Using airtel fiber since 3 years.. 999 plan… No problems at all till now.. Very good service…
Also having jio in my area.. Would like to try it.. Once the covid situation gets better, its worsening day by day in our city so,
Can’t risk it, currently.. With all those installation and stuff.
