Flipkart Launches Flipkart Hotels Booking Service with “additional benefits”! See Details
Bengaluru - September 6th 2022: Flipkart has launched Flipkart Hotels for domestic and international hotel book services in India. Adarsh Menon, Senior VP of Flipkart announced in an official statement the launch of the Flipkart Hotels feature on the Flipkart app.
The ecommerce giant is offering “a budget-friendly hotel booking feature” on the Flipkart application and “Flipkart Plus members and customers will be able to avail additional benefits” , said Flipkart in an official press release, 6th September 2022.
Flipkart is one of the leading ecommerce companies in India including group companies such as Flipkart, Flipkart Health+, Cleartrip, Myntra and Flipkart Wholesale. The online retail giant, Flipkart has a billion dollar valuation and is the largest e-commerce company in India which is also an Indian homegrown brand.
While the company has already been doing well in the fashion and online retail ecommerce sector, Flipkart has decided to announce the launch of a new hotel-booking feature, Flipkart Hotels, on its platform to “bolster its offerings in the travel sector.”
Flipkart Hotel Booking Service is a new offering from Flipkart available on the Flipkart application through which users can book hotels with a hassle-free experience and avail of additional benefits.

Flipkart Hotels, the Flipkart all-new Hotel Service booking feature would be backed by Cleartrip’s API and “will benefit from Cleartrip’s deep understanding of travel customers and sectors.”
During Covid-19, the hospitality and travel sector was impacted greatly. However, 2022 has been a great year for the hospitality industry with significant growth in demand for domestic and international traveling. “Given the 70% growth in the last quarter compared to a CAGR of 60% over the last two years, the next festive quarter is expected to be even better for the overall travel industry,” says Flipkart.
Flipkart has decided to announce the news of Flipkart Hotels' launch ahead of the Flipkart Big Billion Day sale and the grand festive season.

Great initiative by Flipkart,it will immensely help already booming Indian tourism and hospitality industry to increase it's contribution to GDP and attract more FDI and facilitate both International and Domestic tourists find affordable accommodation without any hassle.Hopefully Flipkart will seamlessly integrate it with existing app instead of launching a new app.
