No way of major interest rates rise, I have been seeing this similar interest rates of top and reliable banks for past 1 year +. Say HDFC’s best previously was 5.5 and now it is 5.6, same 0.1% goes with most banks. Indusind has been 6% for past 1-2 yrs if not more.

worthless as 5.9 % fd returns for senior citizens is pathetic low return in the time of raising intrest rate period. 

Why block money for 5 years at such low returns?
