You can now book a free train from Goa to Prayagraj, Mahakumbh - thanks to the Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant who inaugurated this event under the Dev Darshan Scheme. Given the mega-sized celebration of Mahakumb, the Goa government on February 6th, inaugurated a special train service from Karmali Railway Station located near Panaji, to Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh. More trains are scheduled for the dates 6th, 13th and 21st February from Madgaon which is located in Margao district to Prayagraj in UP.

On February 6th, Goa’s CM Pramod Sawant inaugurated a special train service from Karmali to Prayagraj which departed with over 1000+ devotees on a long 34-hour journey.
CM Pramod Sawant further posted a tweet on X (formerly Twitter) saying “The first pilgrimage train will depart from Margao Railway Station on 6 February at 8 am, with two additional trains scheduled for 13 and 21 February. Seats for these three trains are available on a first-come, first-served basis.”

Soon after the inauguration & the announcement of free train service from Goa to Prayagraj, thousands of devotees flocked to register for the pilgrimage. With the overwhelming response, phone lines for booking are constantly busy, and many devotees are struggling to book their free train seats to Prayag.

Note that this initiative is primarily for Goa civilians so if you are trying to call this number from a different state, you might not be able to avail this service
If the phone line appears busy or disconnects, try again from different devices & odd hours such as early mornings.

As per the official tweet posted by CM Pramod Sawant, the next two trains from Goa to Prayag are scheduled for Feb 13th and 21st. The train numbers are 00185, 00186, 00187, 00188, 00189 and 00190.
