BSNL Rs.1 Offer Unavailable? Too Good to be True?

Imagining a 1-full month of free recharge even if it's with BSNL 4G sounds like a good deal at first. But hold your horses right there because the full picture may not reflect the same excitement.

BSNL from August 1 is continuously promoting the BSNL Rs.1 Offer on X (Twitter) and other social media platforms. Soon later, users on X started to report that they are not able to get the BSNL Rs.1 offer at their nearby store.

A user on X wrote, “I visited my nearest BSNL CSC. They said the offer is not reflecting on their end! And ask me to visit again!! Area Pin: 713212”
Another user wrote, “I visited my nearest shop, and they asked for ₹50 to provide the SIM. But from your end, it's mentioned that the SIM is free. Area Pincode – 828401.”

Another user named Prathamesh Tiwari on Twitter shared a screenshot of how the BSNL Freedom Recharge Plan is unavailable to activate.

Nicely articulated and presented.

If government allows porting non-recharged numbers to other service providers through online verification somehow then we can port out few old unused sims onto BSNL network.
