One of the most awaited new smartphones releasing in India 2025 in August are Google Pixel 10 series. Earlier rumours suggested Pixel 10 series will be announced on August 13th (same as Pixel 9 series). But recently, Google confirmed that the Pixel 10 series smartphones are launching on August 20th, 2025 in the Made by Google event. The event will be held in NYC and streamed live on YouTube. We’ll get to see a total of 4 new smartphones - Google Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

Google Pixel 10 series will arrive with the Tensor G5 processor which is built on TSMC's 3 nm-class N3E process node, similar to Apple's A18 Pro. This is a major shift from Samsung-made Tensor chips that powered the Pixel 6 series all the way to Pixel 9 series. With Google making a brand new chip with TSMC this time, fans have high hopes for lesser heat and battery drain issues. Google also recently launched its Pixel 6A battery replacement program for impacted Pixel 6a devices. So it does seem like the company is actively trying to take user feedback seriously.

Starting with Google Pixel 10, rumours suggest that it will get a 6.3 inch FHD+ OLED display, a 48MP + 12MP Ultra-wide + 10.8MP (5x) Periscope camera, 4970mAh battery + 29W charging support and a 10.5MP front selfie camera.

Moving on to the next Pixel phone in the lineup, the Pixel 10 Pro, it is expected to retain the 50 MP main, 48 MP ultrawide, 48 MP telephoto setup from Pixel 9 Pro. Battery is expected to be similar to Pixel 10. On the other hand, the Pixel 10 Pro XL will get a 6.8 inch display i.e. bigger than both Pixel 10 and 10 Pro and also get a bigger battery of 5200mAh with 32W charge along with 16GB RAM.

All Google Pixel 10 models shall have Android 16, enjoy 7 years of OS updates, run on the Tensor G5 chip and see no major design changes.

A user named “anthony” on X compared Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold (Tensor G5, 16gb ram) vs Galaxy Z Flip7 (Exynos 2500, 12gb ram) and found that Samsung's Flip 7 wins over the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

A site called Gofish(dot)com has revealed that the Japanese versions of the Pixel 10 series will be launched on August 20th, 2025. The pricing is still unknown.

Google Pixel 10 series is officially confirmed to launch on August 20th in the Google Pixel 10 launch event will begin at 10:30 PM IST and shall be available to live stream on YouTube. Plus, Google Store subscribers who are signed up by 19 August, 12:30 PM IST, will get an exclusive offer to use with Pixel 10 series phones. One of the best upcoming smartphones launching next month in August has to be the Vivo V60 series. Vivo’s V series phones are known for their design and camera. Vivo V60 is going to be no different. A leak by the tipster Abhishek Yadav on X (Twitter) reveals that Vivo is gearing up for the launch of Vivo V60 series on August 19th in India. Moreover, reports claim that for the first time, Vivo might ditch FuntouchOS for Vivo phones and instead include OriginOS which has been exclusive to Chinese markets only until now.

Recently, the brand launched Vivo V50 and Vivo 50E in India and the Vivo V50 series have gotten a lot of praise for its high-quality ZEISS triple-camera setup, clean software experience, AI features like Circle to Search, Portrait Eraser, a beautiful display and a good 6000mAH battery. As for the Vivo V60 series, the display and design is expected to remain more or less the same. The processor will be replaced by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 with a bigger 6500mAh battery, a 3X zoom telephoto camera and of course Android-16 based OriginOS.

If we buy into the leaks by reputed tipsters, Vivo V60 is launching on August 19th in India.

Yet another Vivo smartphone launching in August 2025 in India is Vivo T4R. A Flipkart sale banner of Vivo T4R is already live calling the upcoming mobile phone “India’s Slimmest Quad Curved Display Phone” The phone has appeared on Geekbench by the mode number Vivo I2410 and as per the revealed specs, it seems the Vivo T4R will arrive with a Mediatek Dimensity 7400, a Mali-G615 MC2 r1p3 GPU and a 12GB RAM. Basically, a repackaged version of the iQOO Z10R launching on Amazon on July 24th, 2025. As per its Geekbench listing, Vivo T4R has a 1033 single-core score and a 2989 multi-core score.

Earlier this year, Vivo launched Vivo T4 at starting from Rs.19,999 and the Vivo T4 Ultra starting from Rs.37,999. The Vivo T4R shall fall somewhere between and probably hit a price range of Rs.24,999. As for the launch date of Vivo T4R in India, we are expecting it to be either July 29th or 1st week of August.

Similar to Infinix Hot 60 5G+, there will likely not be any OS updates. The phone shall receive 2 years of security updates. The processor will also be Helio G200 which is of course quite outdated but that’s a compromise to make if you need the other features under a price of 15K (which probably no other phone offers).
