More than two months ago, the POCO M3 made its debut globally in November, but it is yet to arrive in India. While we accepted it to launch in mid-January, our expectations were finally met with a teaser launched yesterday following the launch date today. POCO India shared a new video that confirms the impending arrival 'Watch at your own risk | #POCOM3' across its social media platforms. The Launch has been confirmed by Flipkart and POCO

The teaser starts with two people carrying Poco M3 to a Bengaluru mall and asking out how the phone looks. 5g is still at least 3 years away and 4g seems fast enough for today’s usage..
I don’t understand why so much rush for 5g

Absolutely! We will bring you the news as soon as there are any updates about 5G. Also, it has been reported that Jio will pioneer the 5G revolution in India in the second half of 2021. So it’s not that far away.

4g seems fast ?? Not for most users
If the government permits, Airtel can operate 5G and 4G within the same spectrum, making 5G a reality in a matter of months.

Bringing in 5g also won’t do any good
It is bad providers that do not have enough infra.. 4g has theoretical speeds around a gigabit.. But it is providers who are not capable of serving those speeds..

It not abt how far 5g is or whether u need it or not. Its abt getting a 5g phone 4 to 6 mths from now at d price of a 4g phone today or getting the phone u r buying now at a further 30% less. And 5 g is abt 12 to 18 mths away. Hope u remember wot happened to non 4g phones when jio started services.

Its nit abt fast or slow. Its about ur device being enabled to a particular tech or not. Future proofing… suna hai???

that happened because jio didn’t have 3g
4g is well spread and 5g will be quite rare for next 3-4 years (an easy lifecycle for a smartphone)

Future-proofing at a considerable cost makes no sense..
5g chips have an added premium for no benefit at least for the next 2-3 years (which is more than the lifecycle of a mid-range phone)

5g rollout will be slow and expensive given that the ranges of 5g towers are very less and comes with their own indoor reception issues.

3G to 4G migration we witnessed was a different thing (a lot of operators, 3g was actually a slow thing, 3g wasn’t power-efficient, telecom infra was also patchy with so many operators)
Jio came as a disruptor with 4G only network, groundbreaking pricing, no roaming, country-wide reception, that rendered a lot of non-4G phones useless.

We don’t see any major operator coming with a 5G only country-wide network that would render all current-gen phones useless.

5G is a premium tech and will remain premium for next 3-5 years, probably with patchy metro-city only coverage, and probably costly plans.

Your non-5G phone will not become useless in next 3-4 years.

Just u wait 6 mths n see when 5g phones r launched at 10k to 12k price band. But u please buy 2 or 3 4g phones right now even if u dont need them.

Confirmed with poco team in tweeter, that M3 has a Google’s dialler and messaging app only (same as in redmi 9 power). Not Miui.

Oh, if kept to record all calls by default, won’t intimate to caller ?

In Miui even if in between manually press record, it will not intimate to caller…

If not Poco M3, pms suggest a good phone in 10-14k range. Min 6gb needed. Any 5G option available in below 14k?
