Realme 14 Pro Series launch in India is happening sooner than expected. Realme, one of the top 5 smartphone brands in India at present announced the launch of Realme 14 Pro in India on their official X (formerly Twitter handle). While many users are excited for the new Realme phone launch, few users are not happy with the brand packing Snapdragon 7S Gen 3 in its Realme 14 Pro series (Realme 13 Pro had Snapdragon 7S Gen 2). Realme on the other hand is boasting a tagline of “Same name, Same chip but two generations ahead” & there’s a reason to it which we have shared below.
Realme 14 Pro series launch date in India isn’t confirmed yet but the phone is expected to give a head to head competition to Redmi Note 14 series which is also launching early this year.
In this article, we will be sharing all that we know about Realme 14 Pro seriesas well as some of our own thoughts on what we think about it
Realme 14 Pro Series Launch in India announced
Realme number series is one of the most hyped smartphone series in India. Realme 13 series was launched earlier this year in July and soon after, the Chinese smartphone maker Indian division has now announced the launch of Realme 14 Pro series in India on their X handle saying:
“Speed, power, and performance redefined. Powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, the #realme14ProSeries sets new benchmarks—same name, same chip, but two generations ahead with an advanced periscope. Ready to break limits?”
This is probably the first time Realme is launching two different number series phones in the same year.
Note that the Realme 14 Pro launch date in India is not confirmed yet but it is highly anticipated that the new upcoming smartphone will debut in the 2nd half of December 2024.
Realme 14 Pro & Realme 14 Pro Plus Pricing in India (Expected)
Realme 13 Pro launched at a price of ₹26,999 and was up for grabs at an initial sale price of ₹23,999. Realme 14 Pro being the latest & greatest from the brand and boasting a new periscope camera + slightly better 7S Gen 3 chipset, will likely arrive at a price of ₹31,999 and might be up for sale at a price of ₹27,999 or more. Similarly, the Realme 14 Pro+ price in India is expected to be around ₹37,999 and the phone may go be put on a sale price of ₹31,999
“Same name, Same chip, but two generations ahead,” says Realme: But, is it enough to woo users?
With the launch of the Realme 14 Pro series, the brand seems to be taking a daring leap by using a nearly identical chipset (Snapdragon 7S Gen 3) as its predecessor (Snapdragon 7S Gen 2). From their posts on X (formerly Twitter), it’s clear Realme is betting big on the phone’s new periscope camera to stand out. But as they say, the devil is in the details - only time will tell if this camera and a few other tweaks can truly win over users.
The phrase "two generations ahead" might be their way of highlighting the Snapdragon 7S Gen 3 upgrade and the promise of a better camera experience, but will that be enough? Let’s wait and see.
