State Bank of India (SBI) credit cards’ reward points changes from March 31st and April 1st 2025 are announced on the official website, specifically on their Notices for Customers page. The reward points changes are mainly for SimplyCLICK SBI credit card and SBI Platinum credit card on specifically two merchants Air India and Swiggy. “With effect from 26th July’25 the complimentary Air Accident insurance coverage of Rs. 50 lakhs and complimentary Rail Accident insurance coverage of Rs. 10 lakhs currently offered on your card will be discontinued” - further adds SBI. SBI Cards insurance coverage to be discontinued from July 2025. Until now SBI has been offering Rs.50 Lakh Air Accident cover and a complimentary Rail Accident Insurance of Rs.10 Lakh. This would be discontinued going forward from July 2025. SBI Card Pulse, IRCTC Premier SBI Card, Yatra SBI Card are a few popular names that currently offer this benefit and might stop offering it w.e.f July 2025.

SBI SimplyClick cardholders pay attention to this - you’ll stop receiving 10X reward points on online spends on Swiggy w.e.f 1st April 2025 and earn 5X reward points only going forward. However, you will continue to accrue 10X Reward Points on online spends at Apollo 24X7, BookMyShow, Cleartrip, Dominos, IGP, Myntra, Netmeds and Yatra, says SBI on its official website.

Air India SBI Platinum Credit Card:
15 Accelerated Reward Points per ₹100 spent will be revised to 5 Reward Points per ₹100 spent on Air India SBI Platinum Credit Cards for purchases made via Air India website/app.
Air India SBI Signature Credit Card:
From 30 Accelerated Reward Points per ₹100 spent to 10 Reward Points per ₹100 spent will be revised from 31st March 2025 for Air India SBI Signature Credit Card.
In short, the accelerated reward points on Air India ticket bookings are being reduced significantly for both cards.
