hello guys…. has anyone tried opening an icici pocket savings account?
Update: got all the info i needed….
This this awesome… I mean its SUPER awesome
U get an 0 balance savings account with a international platinum visa debit card …. Yes here international means turely international…. After getting DC all u have to do is contact CC to activate it….
How to apply for saving account:
Click on deposits or iwish… Then u will see apply now
Fill out the details.
U will get a call from the bank(i got it within 30 mins)
Executive will visit at your place for documents and stuffs… U dont need to porvide any xerox copies or anything… They take the pic of originals…. And ofc your pic too :p
This account comes with all features that fulfills everything….here are some
1) 0 balance
2) NEFT free both inwards and outwards
3) international DC
4) 10 leaf cheque book
5) here pocket virtual card and DC both are separate things… I guess everyone knows what we can do with that…
One drawback: we can deposit money physically only once in a month… But it is not of a issue…. Read all the comments, u will come to know why :p

Can’t blame them fully because I had applied to a distant branch because nearby branch was not listed initially.
Then application had to re-rout to nearby branch.That was new to them. They had almost given up.But Pocket team insisted them to make it work..
Finally I got it.
Slow processing is because of the branch people.
Their system automatically receives our requests. But "Tab banking " is updated to less number of branches. And they have less information about the functions.
Most IMPORTANTLY. " no initial deposit " but they have to take same effort of opening big account. It’s a new service. So give it some time

BTW,I have observed that nowadays banks are having more and more young female employees than ever before,I think they are selected because they do their work more sincerely

Update: I put my complaint on the app review of the pockets app(google play) and got call from their CC just now. Try it. 
Anyone please let me know any customer care number of this app account?
Got a mail regarding the 100 on 500 addition offer.. but it says it is for first 30000 users … will I get Cashback or not if I add 500 now.?

Finally, got the startup kit. Had to visit the branch I had applied to and they asked for 10k but I refused and ‘bargained’ till they came down to 1k. Account was opened very next day but the kit arrived 10 days later via ‘speedpost’.
I had recommended to open the savings account to a ‘not so well to do’ friend, he said he can’t part with 10k and was refused to open an account.

Thanks a lot for the confirmation. I’ll contact the branch first thing in the morning. Last time I contacted them the guy told me that the application is processed and status is showing that account kit will be dispatched by 10th.

They dispatch the kit via speedpost so it does take time.
Is submission of PAN Mandatory for applying for Pockets Savings account?
What other documents can be taken by them in absence of PAN?

What b2 does not offer
• No ATM/ debit card
• No cheque book
• Only limited branch access

I would like to open zero balance account form pocket app. But when i checked fee and charges i found 150rs p.a for atm card.
And i don’t like to pay 150rs every year for atm card. 
So my question are,
1) is there any option to avoid the p.a fee of atm card ?
2) if i request for another type card (eg. Master or rupay) will this p.a atm fee get waived off ?

Cool…. savings account is totally worth it…..just make sure that u dont give more than 500rs as an account opening balance…. their executive will demand 10k + for sure….

Ok, im waiting for then to contact me.
2 days gone didnt get any call or msg from there side. While checking status on app it shows application received.
If they ask that much money surly i will not give them bcoz i didnt have that much money.
