Using Vi postpaid 701rs plan, after gst 827rs per month. 2,000 GB data, 6 Month's Amazon prime, Hotstar etc. If broadband connection not available, Vi signal is good and needed unlimited data then buy this plan.

Airtel was the original in offering family plan, since many years, even before the launch of Jio postpaid. I personally have Airtel family plan since 2017. So it cannot be said that their offerings are in reaction to Jio. Or course, there has been changes from time to time in the composition of the plans they offer.

Correct, which is why postpaid recharges aren't suitable for everyone. However, as compared to Prepaid plans, postpaid come with more additional benefits like offers on OTT platforms, or even other services like DTH (offered in Airtel Black postpaid) and hence, they are expensive.

For postpaid, GST is charged based on monthly rental as well as additional charges I think - https://www.jio.com/help/faq/mobile/postpaid-of...
