You won’t get any channels. Channels are going to disappear. You will have to search your content and watch. Everything will change. It will be frustrating in beginning that you can’t change channels that easily. But slowly it will teach you how to be patient. Slow apps, bad boxes, slow speed etc will give you less time to watch tv. Eventually it will be good for you.
Does airtel xsteam provides live channels like we have in jio tvplus app in jio setop box??
Currently waiting for excitel fiber to launch in my area, then unlimited 300 mbps would be much cheaper than both airtel and jio.
300mbps @ 500 per month if you recharge for 6 months at a time.

I’ve JIO Fiber & Airtel DSL which I have requested to be upgraded to Fiber… JIO I’m using since 1.5 years…. So far no problem & its connection is stable, providing the promised speed. Recharged with 399 plan for the very first time. Earlier I was using 199 weekly plan…. 30 mbps is ok speed for a residential connection. Lets see how Airtel performs after they upgrade the line..
Important thing is that Airtel was sleeping all this time. With JIO’s arrival they woke up.. Now customers should not blindly support either & keep switching b/w two depending on service…. I am hoping Airtel which is postpaid also becomes prepaid so that I keep switching b/w them..

I am contemplating Airtel 499 plan. I have airtel 799 plan with 40 MBPS but on 5G band, I get 100 MBPS. Which works out well for me. If they have the same thing in 499, then I will shift blindly. Or atleast give it a try …..
Any tech geek here can explain, for a 40 mbps connection how can they give 100 mbps on higher bands?

You are comparing 2.4ghz wifi speed with overall braodband speed. Wifi is a limitation thats why you getting 40mbps. Try any n300 client like n300 usb dongle for pc or any topline phone like s series or iphone. 100mbps can be attained on 2.4ghz too but interference should be less.
Else ac/5ghz or wireline ethernet are always there.

It comes with jio tv features. You have to pay higher for premium channels like sony liv, hotstar, zee5, etc.

Ping delay to eurpoe and usa game servers are same for Jio Fiber and Airtel 4G. Jio’s Fiber has no latency benefit

jio does not need to give OTT as everything is available in Jio TV and Jio Cinema and various other JIO channells.
I have both airtel xstream tv, and Jio TV and can state that Jio TV has much more channells and content and that too premium than airtel tv.

I am using excitel fibre. 300Mbps unlimited for 556 per month effectively on long term recharge(6+3 offer). Speed is stable and so is there service in my area.

I think you can, but on limited number of home devices. You can control these devices via the MyJio app in the Jio Fiber section.

You can get airtel xstream box for 1500 security deposit. It is dth + online streaming box, so you don’t need seperate mi box or fire tv stick. But you still also have to pay monthly dth rental to use the box.
If you get mi box , etc instead, the online streaming will not work on them for free and you will have to subscribe to them seperately
