BSNL 5G launch date - a service that was supposed to be launched this year in 2023 along with BSNL 4G, has now again been delayed to the following year, 2024. BSNL’s users have already been long-awaiting for the company to launch its BSNL 4G & 5G services in the country and with the new delay of the launch, BSNL users’ patience seems to be put to test. Below are the complete details of the current status of the BSNL 5G launch as well its 4G launch date.

BSNL 5G launch date, 4G launch date delays to 2024

To summarize the current status of the BSNL 5G launch date & 4G launch date:

  • Ashwini Vaishnav recently inaugurated 5G services in Odisha

  • In the inauguration event in Odisha, he said BSNL will roll out its 5G services by 2024

  • Earlier, the chairman and managing director of BSNL had announced that the telecom company had received a “clear path” to launch BSNL 4G & 5G by 2023

  • The union minister also said at the event that BSNL does not have a legacy infrastructure which can be a big advantage for the telecom brand to quickly upgrade from 4G to 5G

  • Hence, we can expect BSNL 4G and 5G launch dates to be consecutive, following one after another

If you remember, earlier this month, we shared with you how BSNL received a 1.64 Lakh crore package from the union cabinet to launch its BSNL 4G services in the country. After this, the telecom brand partnered with TCS to buy 1 lakh towers to bring its 4G & 5G services to its users, and the package was also said to allow the telecom company to lay its focus on the quality of its services. While it is yet to see how BSNL stands up to it and in bringing its 4G & 5G services to the country.

They should focus more importantly in the working efficiency of the staff .
This khatmals 🐞( non performing staff ) suck our tax money and are the main reason for losses and third class services . Mtnl Bsnl doesn't matter if 5g comes late but atleast staff should work atleast basic services.

Agree that BSNL needs to improve its basic ongoing services first. Thanks for sharing your thoughts @Loaferg

They distributed 4g sim in 2019 & charged 50/- rs for this. I too have swaped one & many like me also swapped 3g to 4g by paying 50/- rs but no 4g network in bsnl yet. God knows what 5g they are launching.

No hope in 4G launch of BSNL.....I also swapped a sim in 2019 by paying ₹50, in 2022 either march or in feb.... There is a call drop every then and now , I contacted the customer care , they told me to replace it with new 4G sim again paying 4G.... Fed up with the fake promises and with the worst responses from the admins of BSNL Rightly said , it only matters for them to get the salaries on time, because a couple of months ago there was a news some employees didnt get thebsalry for three months, no other efforts to get benefit the customers ... God knows hhat is happening behind the curtains , govt should abolish BSNL and MTNL and sustain their investors like ambanis , etc no efforts to develop infra , or govt. backbone of telecommunications...

BSNL 5G will launch after Jio launches 6G. That’s the reason why BSNL/MTNL didn’t get 4G till date. Jai Mitro, Jai Ambani/Adani
