Jio and Airtel have started rolling out 5G services to their iPhone users from today i.e. 15th December 2022. However, those with iPhone 12 & above models only will get 5G access currently, with the latest iOS 16.2 update from Apple.

iPhone users will be entitled to the Jio 5G Welcome Offer which promises unlimited 5G data at upto 1Gbps speed (mostly gives around 200 Mbps on Android). If your current Jio plan is of ₹239 or higher then you simply need to turn on ‘5G AUTO’ and ‘5G Standalone’ in settings. Make sure your iPhone is updated to the latest iOS 16.2 and ‘low power mode’ is off. For others, a ₹239 or higher amount of Jio prepaid or postpaid recharge needs to be done for 5G access. Besides, there are no restrictions for Airtel Recharge.
The entire iPhone 12, 13, and 14 series is now eligible for 5G including Apple iPhone SE 2022 3rd gen with the iOS 16.2 stable version.
As per the company, Jio True 5G is available in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Nathdwara, and 33 district headquarters of Gujarat. Meanwhile, Airtel has a similar route. However, these telcos are rolling out 5G fast so even if you are not in the specified regions, you might get it.
Open MyJio app or Airtel Thanks app (update app if not done).
Scroll a bit to find the ‘Jio True 5G’ & ‘Jio Welcome offer’ or ‘Airtel 5G’ banner.
Click on it and complete the process.
You will be notified via app, SMS, and Whatsapp instantly for ‘5G Activated’.
Turn on ‘5G AUTO’ and ‘5G Standalone’ from settings on your iPhone.
That’s it, start browsing, streaming, downloading, and more, 5G!
Earlier, Apple said that iPhones will get 5G from December so it remained true to its statement. It's now to see how iPhone users get the 5G experience in India.

I kept showing interest in 5g, she never expressed it. How ironical is that.
