OnePlus 12R comes with a 5500mAh battery with 100W charger in the box, a metal frame unlike the plastic frame in last year’s OnePlus 11R, a better processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, good display brightness and promises 3 years of OS Upgrades + 4 years of Security Updates.
Samsung S23 also has the same 3 years of OS & 4 years of security updates left and comes with the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
OnePlus 12R display is a curved display FHD++ LTPO, 120Hz, with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and supports HDR 10 & Dolby Vision.
For Samsung S23, you do not have a curved display but the phone is super compact which may be liked by some users. You get the same Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, 120Hz display, and FHD+ 2X AMOLED.
Notably, the OnePlus 12R phone still has a USB Type-C 2.0 port, the same as the OnePlus 11R and contrary to OnePlus's earlier claim of providing UFS 4.0 storage in 256GB, the phone runs on UFS 3.1 storage for both variants.

On the other hand, Samsung S23 does support UFS 4.0 for 256GB but the 128GB supports UFS 3.1.
So, do not go for buying the 256GB variant OnePlus 12R in this sale thinking you will get UFS 4.0 storage.
Moreover, if you are planning to buy the OnePlus 12R in Amazon's Great Indian Sale deals, be sure to know that the OnePlus 12R (like any other OnePlus 12 series) is not covered in their free screen replacement policy for green lines issues.
The camera is mostly much better in the Samsung S23, you can shoot 8K videos at 30FPS, shoot 4K videos from all camera sensors, and click telephoto camera pictures - a few major camera features you do not get in OnePlus 12R
You also get better-quality selfie camera pictures, slightly more punchy colours and how could we miss out on the elephant in the room - you get the Galaxy AI!
Benchmark scores are also better in the S23 as compared to the OnePlus 12R. However, on the downside of S23, you do get only a 3900mAh battery with 25W charging support.
The storage is also just 128GB at ₹36,999 Big Billion Days price of S23 whereas you get 256GB storage in OnePlus 12R. But notably, you do get 15W wireless charge + reversed charging support in S23, again something that the OnePlus 12R probably doesn’t offer.
So now the ball is in your court:)) go with what sounds like a more value-for-money deal to you. OnePlus 12R is not a poor deal either but S23 5G does give a pretty solid competition here.

Avoid this brand as they haven't found any solution for greenline and motherboard dead issue on multiple models.
My first choice was S23 but bettery is a major concern for me.
Nothing official yet but could be around 39,999 I feel.
Certainly green line is a big issue saw on twitter where 1+ doesnt provide any fix after warranty: so if someone unfortunately face this then be ready for next BBD
