OnePlus 12R price in Amazon sale is revealed to be ₹35,249 for its 256GB variant. So if you are tempted to buy the OnePlus 12R in the Great Indian Festival Sale, pause right there. Recently Samsung S23 Big Billion Days price was revealed to be ₹36,999 which has compelled us to compare the two of the most popular phones in this price segment, Samsung S23 vs OnePlus 12R, which one to buy in this Amazon & Flipkart Sale. OnePlus 12R Great Indian Sale price is revealed and will be ₹35,249 (256GB) (inclusive bank offer).
The Amazon Great Indian Sale 2024 starting date is 26th September for Prime members and 27th for all normal users. Customers will be able to grab these deals once the sale begins.
To buy the OnePlus 12R in the Amazon Sale (Great Indian Festival), customers will need to wait for the sale to begin on 26th September. The sale price of ₹35,249 includes a bank offer, so customers will need to apply SBI Credit Card, ICICI Credit Card or HDFC Credit Card (exact details aren’t out yet). EMI options will also be available and you always have the option to get 5% unlimited cashback using Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card.
OnePlus 12R Amazon Great Indian Sale price sure looks quite tempting but is it really worth buying the OnePlus 12R in this Amazon sale? To get an answer, here are a few things you need to know.
OnePlus 12R comes with a 5500mAh battery with 100W charger in the box, a metal frame unlike the plastic frame in last year’s OnePlus 11R, a better processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, good display brightness and promises 3 years of OS Upgrades + 4 years of Security Updates.
Samsung S23 also has the same 3 years of OS & 4 years of security updates left and comes with the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
OnePlus 12R display is a curved display FHD++ LTPO, 120Hz, with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and supports HDR 10 & Dolby Vision.
For Samsung S23, you do not have a curved display but the phone is super compact which may be liked by some users. You get the same Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, 120Hz display, and FHD+ 2X AMOLED.
Notably, the OnePlus 12R phone still has a USB Type-C 2.0 port, the same as the OnePlus 11R and contrary to OnePlus's earlier claim of providing UFS 4.0 storage in 256GB, the phone runs on UFS 3.1 storage for both variants.
Yep, you are reading that right. It was just a false claim that OnePlus 12R 256GB phones have UFS 4.0. Here’s a link to an official apology issued by OnePlus regarding its previous claim of UFS 4.0 storage in OnePlus 12R 256GB variants.
On the other hand, Samsung S23 does support UFS 4.0 for 256GB but the 128GB supports UFS 3.1.
So, do not go for buying the 256GB variant OnePlus 12R in this sale thinking you will get UFS 4.0 storage.
Moreover, if you are planning to buy the OnePlus 12R in Amazon's Great Indian Sale deals, be sure to know that the OnePlus 12R (like any other OnePlus 12 series) is not covered in their free screen replacement policy for green lines issues.
The camera is mostly much better in the Samsung S23, you can shoot 8K videos at 30FPS, shoot 4K videos from all camera sensors, and click telephoto camera pictures - a few major camera features you do not get in OnePlus 12R
You also get better-quality selfie camera pictures, slightly more punchy colours and how could we miss out on the elephant in the room - you get the Galaxy AI!
Benchmark scores are also better in the S23 as compared to the OnePlus 12R. However, on the downside of S23, you do get only a 3900mAh battery with 25W charging support.
The storage is also just 128GB at ₹36,999 Big Billion Days price of S23 whereas you get 256GB storage in OnePlus 12R. But notably, you do get 15W wireless charge + reversed charging support in S23, again something that the OnePlus 12R probably doesn’t offer.
So now the ball is in your court:)) go with what sounds like a more value-for-money deal to you. OnePlus 12R is not a poor deal either but S23 5G does give a pretty solid competition here.

So you want to compare OnePlus 12 (₹56249) with Samsung S23 (₹36,999)?
Doesn't it make more sense for potential buyers to compare the phone price with other phone of maximum 2k/3k diff as compared to a huge 19K difference:))
Certainly green line is a big issue saw on twitter where 1+ doesnt provide any fix after warranty: so if someone unfortunately face this then be ready for next BBD
Nothing official yet but could be around 39,999 I feel.
My first choice was S23 but bettery is a major concern for me.

Quality control on oneplus has gone down the drain since Oneplus 8
Avoid this brand as they haven't found any solution for greenline and motherboard dead issue on multiple models.
