Reliance Jio has rolled out a new UPI Autopay feature for its prepaid plan users.

Reliance Jio has added UPI Autopay for its prepaid consumers as a new feature to make their lives easier. The Reliance Jio UPI Autopay function is the result of a collaboration between Reliance and India's National Payments Corporation (NPCI). This new function allows customers to automatically recharge prepaid plans on their Reliance Jio number when they reach their expiration date, saving them the time and effort of doing so manually.

Jio UPI Autopay allows you to create, modify, and remove plans, as well as make payments of up to Rs 5,000 without having to punch in your UPI pin. For the time being, this autopay function will only be available to prepaid customers; post-paid customers will not be able to utilise it. This will allow you to stick to your Jio recharge Plans without checking them frequently.

• Open the My Jio application on your smartphone.

• Tap on the Mobile tab at the top of the screen.

• Set up Jio AutoPay by tapping Setup Jio AutoPay or scroll down to Recharges & Payments and press Jio AutoPay.

• This will take you to the Jio AutoPay activation page, where you'll see the phrase "We support Bank Account and UPI."

• Tap Get Started at the bottom of the screen.

• You'll now see a list of prepaid recharge options from which you can choose to automate the payment procedure.

• After you've picked a plan, you'll be asked to choose between UPI and a bank account as your payment method. Select UPI and continue.

• Now, you will have to provide your UPI ID and get it verified.

• Once completed, it will set up AutoPay for the selected recharge plan.

To verify, Jio will deduct Re 1 from your account when you set up your payment options, however, this will be paid back to you after the verification is complete. You can check UPI Offers on DesiDime for reards, cashback and discounts.

Kiran Thomas, Jio's Director, stated that Jio consumers would no longer have to remember their recharge renewal date or invoice fee date and carry out the handbook.
