I came here to read your views on it but since a thread does not exist yet, I am creating one. Let this be the single place to read info about how to prevent this devil from entering your body. Those of you who are in Noida / Bangalore, what are your views? Assuming the Noida man had this thing since 20th Feb, he would have gone to a lot of crowded places in last 10 days and since incubation period is 15 days, we may not know who all locally caught this in last 10 days !

To kill the virus, we need medicine or cow urine. Since there’s no medicine, I don’t think anyone is 100% recovered

CPC regime is no lesser than Iranian regime. They arrest whoever says anything negative about their government within china. Xi, khamenei & kim all regimes come under same category when it comes to lies

Somehow, I don’t have any sympathy for these NRI’s who knowingly brought the virus to India and are shouting Jai Hind now. Government should charge them for the all the free medical treatment that they got.

SRPF to ensure lockdown discipline in Mumbai

Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope on Thursday said the State Reserve Police Force needs to be deployed in congested areas of Mumbai to ensure strict implementation of the ongoing lockdown and prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Tope said the containment strategy was discussed in the cabinet meeting where ministers stressed the need to deploy SRPF personnel in congested areas of the metropolis as part of measures to halt the march of coronavirus.

“All ministers stressed the need to enforce strict lockdown and deploy SRPF as there is no option. Similarly, surveillance of crowds through drone technology was also necessary apart from installing CCTVs,” he said.

He said public toilets in Dharavi, a COVID-19 hotspot, will be sanitised and cleaned every one or two hours as part of efforts to stop the virus spread.

The total number of positive cases in the state stood at 1,346 as of now.

Of these Mumbai has 746 patients, which is 50 per cent of the total, Tope said.

“This is a cause of worry,” he added.

US had yesterday lowered the estimated death count based on scientific models. Has any Indian agency come up with a similar model to predict cases & death related to Corona?

Now gov is working on the lockdown dates, PPE acquisitions and mostly..  communalising the blame to save faces. Once they fix this, maybe..

All are in hit and trial method now.

My dear friends, stop dreaming, it will keep getting worse. You may see the fall for a day or two but it will keep rising. Epidemic follows logarithms. As Delhi will do random testing, surprises await us.

Lockdown to be extended till April 30

According to highly placed sources in the government, the 3-week national lockdown announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which ends on April 14, will be extended for another two weeks, till the end of April. *

But it will not be business as usual on May 1, the government is clear in its mind. *

What is being considered by the government is a staggered lifting of the lockdown, with no place collecting more than 50% of its capacity, the sources said. *

According to a tentative calendar of lifting of the lockdown before the government, religious places will be the first to reopen, on May 5. *

Fruits and vegetable markets will be allowed to open from May 7, but on alternate days. *

Malls, cinema halls and wedding halls are expected to open in the third week of May, while educational institutions will reopen in the end of May.
Trains and domestic flights are expected to resume on May 15. *

International flights, however, will have a longer wait — July 30 is the date being considered, and a final decision will be taken after gauging if the world has been able to overcome the coronavirus threat or not. *

According to sources in the government, this is the tentative plan before the Prime Minister’s Office and sums up the essence of what various experts groups have proposed. *

While a final call will be taken by the Union Cabinet and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Centre is keen to give chief ministers the freedom to decide on the schedule as per their own compulsions. *

This calendar is expected to be discussed in the PM’s video-conference with the CMs tomorrow, following which Prime Minister Modi may address the nation on Sunday, April 12.

Out of 39 domestic suppliers with whom Govt had signed orders for supply of 70 Lakhs PPEs,only 5 orders were placed before lockdown.
Rest 34 orders are post March 24,of these,24 post April 1.
Delay in placing orders + lockdown, resulting in meagre supply..less than 1%
