There is no information about HDFC, Yes bank and Axis bank has launched RuPay select debit cards or not.

Other banks like Jana small finance bank, Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd (TMB), Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Central bank of India, Indian bank, Jana small finance bank, Canara bank, PNB bank already launched RuPay Select debit cards.

Lol, I thought I can get this card for free or at max ₹150 annual fee since it is made in India.

LOL. Made in India doesn’t mean you get super premium cards at cheap rates.

Super premium cards are not only a card, its a status symbol.

You can never convince rich people to get RuPay cards unless you charge them 1000, 2000, 5000, 10000 or more annual fees.

I can’t tell the exact date, maybe after 5 years or maybe after 10 or 20 years but in future you will see more RuPay Super Premium or RuPay Ultra Premium cards with lots of offers.

But if you have premium savings accounts then bank may waiver your fees.

Banks have their own super premium cards. Mostly all super premium cards launched in Visa signature/Mastercard world/RuPay Select card Platform.

HDFC Infinia, Axis Reverse are Ultra premium cards. Mostly all ultra premium cards launched in Visa infinite/Mastercard world elite Platform (RuPay currently does not have any Ultra Premium card).

Diners Black, Amex platinum card is also Ultra premium cards.

Is there an up-to-date list on Desidime of RuPay Select debit cards, which banks issue it and their charges? I found one on TF but not sure if up-to-date.

Union Bank of India issues for the lowest fee but the criteria has gone up now ... one needs to have either salary account or 1 lac QAB account variant to get RuPay Select DC

then there's Bank of Baroda Super Savings Account (20k MAB)

followed by PNB offering RuPay Select DC with Rs. 500 + 18% GST issuance fee and Rs. 750 + 18% GST annual fee from 2nd year onwards ... eligibility is 50k QAB

Jana Small Finance Bank offers FREE of cost RuPay Select DC with 1 lac MAB account variant ... they charge Rs. 500 + 18% GST for account closure no matter when one closes their account
